Poached Egg
A burst of flavor hidden inside, It is sure to satisfy your insatiable cravings!
Most people are afraid of making this type of egg because of the technique needed to cook it. So here is a quick video on how to make it!
INGREDIENTS:
- Water
- Salt
- Vinegar
- Egg lol
THE PROCESS:
STEP 1: Boil water in a pot
STEP 2: Crack an egg through a strainer
( this will lessen the whispy whites when you poach the egg )
STEP 3: Once some bubbles start to rise in the pot, add vinegar and/or salt
STEP 4: Stir the pot to create a vortex
STEP 5: Drop the egg and let it swirl for about 15-20 seconds
And there you have it! You have successfully made a poached egg! Don't worry if you don't get it right the first few times. The poached egg is a hard trick to master.
Now the poached egg is already delicious by itself, but to make it even better. I will add more ingredients to it in order to create....
Gyudon!
A creamy avocado spread lathered onto a buttery toasted bread
It is one of earth's greatest yet simplest pleasures.
I decided to make gyudon because why not. So here's the video:
INGREDIENTS FOR GYUDON:
- Sake
- Water
- Mirin
- Soy sauce
- Sugar
- Onions
- Beef ( thin slices )
*Optional: spring onions
Time For the Assembly!
STEP 1: Cut the onions
STEP 2: In a pan, add 2 tbsp of sake
STEP: 3: Add 2 tbsp of water
STEP 3: Add 2 tbsp of mirin
STEP 4: Add 2 tbsp of soy sauce
STEP 5: Add 2 tbsp of sugar
STEP 6: Let it sizzle for a bit, then add the onions and the meat
STEP 6: Cook it for 6 mins
